Hey Stumblers!
You may have already seen creators preview some upcoming changes coming to Stumble Guys. We’ve seen the early reactions, questions, and concerns, so we wanted to follow up officially, confirm what’s planned, and open the conversation with you directly.
Over the summer, we’re preparing several updates to progression, rewards, Missions, Abilities, and the Stumble Pass. These changes are designed to make progression clearer, Missions more meaningful, Ability upgrades easier to understand, and rewards feel more impactful.
This thread will be the main hub for feedback, questions, concerns, and suggestions about these planned updates. We’ll be actively reviewing your comments and sharing them with the team before these changes arrive.
What’s Changing?
The upcoming updates focus on four main areas:
- Ability progression will be simplified
- Ability upgrades will become easier to manage
- The Stumble Pass will be updated
- Missions will become the main way to earn Stars and progress through the Pass
Below is a full breakdown of what’s planned, why these changes are being made, and what they mean for players.
Ability Progression Is Being Simplified
We’re planning to simplify Ability progression by changing the maximum Ability level from Level 15 to Level 9.
Most importantly, this is a simplification of the level structure, not a reduction in Ability power.
A max-level Ability will remain a max-power Ability in the new system. The goal is to make progression easier to understand while preserving the strength players have already earned.
A Level 9 Ability after the update is intended to feel the same as a current Level 15 Ability.
This change is about compressing progression into fewer, more meaningful levels. Instead of spreading upgrades across many smaller steps, each level should feel clearer and more impactful.
The goal is to:
- Make Ability progression easier to understand
- Make each upgrade feel more meaningful
- Reduce unnecessary upgrade levels
- Preserve the strength players have already earned
- Keep long-term progression meaningful
The total Ability Tokens required to max an Ability will still be 60,000 overall, and we also plan to provide more opportunities to earn Ability Tokens through gameplay.
Ability Upgrades Will Be Easier to Understand
We’re also planning to simplify how Ability upgrades work.
Instead of manually choosing which attribute to increase, Ability stats will upgrade automatically as you level them up.
This is intended to create a cleaner upgrade path where Ability growth is easier to understand at a glance. It also reduces unnecessary decision-making, especially for newer or more casual players, while keeping progression meaningful.
We’re also removing the visual variants tied to individual Abilities. Going forward, each Ability will have a more consistent visual presentation across the game. This removes an extra layer of choice that players previously had to manage and helps focus more on the gameplay impact and power increases that upgrading provides.
This means:
- No manual upgrade choices
- Clearer stat growth
- Easier-to-understand Abilities
- Less confusion when upgrading
- More focus on playing
The goal is not to remove depth from Abilities. The goal is to make the upgrade path clearer, smoother, and easier to follow without requiring players to manage multiple attributes manually.
Stumble Pass Updates
The Stumble Pass is also planned to receive important updates.
We know changes to the Pass are especially important, so we want to be clear about what is changing, what remains free, and where the new value is being added.
What’s Changing
- Activating the Stumble Pass will require an in-app purchase
- Gems will no longer unlock the Pass
- Premium rewards will include a brand-new Ability
- Rewards for both Free and Premium tracks have been increased significantly
What’s Included in the Free Track
Every tier will include free rewards, and players will still be able to earn rewards without purchasing the Pass.
The updated Pass is also designed to make the free track significantly more rewarding. Compared to the old Free Pass:
- The amount of Gems you get from the Free Track will increase
- You will get up to 3x more Ability Keys
- You will get up to 3x more Ability Tokens
That means the new Free Pass is more valuable than before!
Where Gems Still Fit
Gems will still be a valuable part of the broader game economy. While they will no longer be used to unlock the Stumble Pass, they will continue to support other in-game uses, including tournaments, cosmetic offers, roulette wheels, and Pass tier skips.
Premium Rewards
For players who choose to activate the Pass, premium rewards are being strengthened with a brand-new Ability, 40% more Ability Keys, and 140% more Ability Tokens compared to the old Premium Pass. The new Pass adds significantly more progression value through Keys, Tokens, and the new Ability.
Missions Updates
Missions will become the main way to earn Stars and progress through the Stumble Pass.
There will be:
- Daily Missions
- Seasonal Missions
This change is designed to make Missions feel more meaningful and better connected to overall progression. By tying Missions more directly to Pass progress, players should have clearer goals and more consistent ways to progress through the Pass.
